May sees a LOT of events at CSC- Part 2

Aside from the regular events such as April's Meditations on Sundays and Uli's Fishing Contest on Mondays and Indigo's Writing Sessions on Wednesdays and Fridays we're having a busy month this May:

After Holocluck's Beltane and CK's Fantasy Forest coming up next are:

Thursday 28 May - Fire Theme Party

Sunday 31 May - Blue Moon Tunes

Festivals of Fire is an event to celebrate both Beltane and Hidirellez.

In a spring city park you will find an exposition of artworks from several artists within the theme. Spring, renewal, hopes for abundance and health and purification.

On May 7th we'll celebrate with DJ Sigil and welcome all that Spring will bring us.

On 12 May, Port Emyniad, the artists town at the Corsica South Coasters community, will celebrate their adopted Sea Guardian, Nessie.

(The lovely sea dragon made by Cica Ghost).

Nessie keeps a watch out for the Port and has done so for years, bobbing in front of the harbour.

There is a contest (deadline 8 May) to honour Nessie. You can send in paintings, photos, drawings, stories and poems with her as the subject.

There will be two categories:
- Pictures/Paintings/Drawings
- Short Stories/Poems

For each category there are prizes:
1st prize = L$ 1000 + personalized trophy
2nd Prize = L$ 750 + personalized trophy
3rd Prize = L$ 250 + personalized trophy

On Tuesday the 12th Jesika Wirefly will enchant us with her wonderful songs and afterwards DJ Zed will spin great tunes and Indigo Starling will read the poetry and stories that were entered.

This month's theme party finds us at a Spring Park.

Celebrating spring and the good qualities of Fire (rebirth, purification, warmth).

Dress up in theme if you'd like to have a chance at the unique trophy, but feel free to come as you are as well!

DJ Anna Butterfly will treat us to a unique setlist within the theme.

Ziravyn was the winner of the Hippiestock 2026 Art Contest. In a forest especially designed and painted for her by CK she will be exhibiting her art for the entire month of May.

The party will be on May 4th with DJ Samum to provide our pixels with eagerness to dance among the flowers!

Nessie Day Writing Prompt Sessions with Indigo Starling

Get ready for Nessie Day with a series of writing prompt sessions designed to spark your imagination and help you craft your contest entry.

Indigo Starling will be hosting Nessie Day Writing Sessions at various coffeehouses in Second Life, welcoming both poets and short fiction writers.

These sessions will help you explore Nessie’s legend as the beloved Sea Guardian of Port Emyniad and prepare your work for submission.

All entries must be placed in the Port Emyniad drop boxes by May 8th.

Raven’s journey began with a love of SL photography shared on Flickr, but in 2022, their creative path expanded, bringing their evocative imagery into the gallery spaces of Second Life. Whether capturing serene nature or stark dystopia, Raven transforms virtual scenes into artworks that pulse with emotion and narrative depth.
