Exhibition Opening of "CK's Willows" by Ceakay Ballyhoo at Litho - the tiny Art(ist) Café

Dear friends,

Summer is slowly coming to an end, the first leaves are falling on the still blooming earth and are already partially covering the ground. CK has a fondness for trees, especially the willow, and she has put together 13 wonderful pictures (RL photography and watercolor painting) in a small exhibition showing in September & October at LiThO - the tiny Art(ist) Café.

We ♥-ly invite you to the opening party of
Ceakay Ballyhoo's exhibition “CK's Willows”!

When:
Sunday, September 01 - 12-2pm SLT (21:00-23:00 CEST)
The LiTo DJ Team will be playing a selection of music to accompany the opening.

Here are a few personal words from the artist herself about her exhibition:

"The willow is my second favourite tree. I love to capture willows because of their beautiful slender leaves that sway in the wind., the pollard that is so typical of a Dutch meadow landscape, and the light that shines so beautifully on those leaves.

Willows are often big and majestic and make me think of old guardians who are looking out for everyone. They shelter people and animals and stand guard at the water's edge. I hope you will enjoy my expression of love for them."

CK, Tom & Lizzy looking forward to see you around! ♥

Introducing the FOREST ART WALK - Second Life

Embark on an artistic journey through the forest and discover magical, interesting and perhaps even strange things.

Welcome to the first (known to us at this time) - Forest Art Walk - in Second Life.

This forest was inspired by the Deep Forest Art Land in Denmark, which Lizzy visited in the summer of 2024. After some deliberation, it was decided that we (Tom Willis & Lizzy Swordthain) would recreate this on our lands on the Mainland in Durdane as close as possible to the original.

If you would like to find out more about the original, you can find all the information here: Deep Forest Art Land DK

The Forest Art Walk is located near LiThO - the tiny Art(ist) Café (a small gallery that exhibits changing pictures by artists) and the =little Whiskeria= (a small and cozy event location) which also belongs to the Corsica South Coasters Mainland Community.

This forest provides a space for 3D artists in Second Life to exhibit artwork in a natural forest setting. Visitors can explore the forest, discover the art and linger there. Everything is twisty, sometimes hidden and the forest also has one or two places to rest and enjoy. The works of art exhibited here are not subject to any theme or scheme. Artists may develop freely (as far as the maturity-rating - moderate - allows). Whether modern, impressionistic, surrealistic, baroque or realistic - all styles of 3D art possible in Second Life are allowed. Please refrain from pictorial art in this forest, as there are numerous galleries located in the near environment.

Visitors are of course welcome to take photographs of their experiences. Please be so kind and tag us or post it on our social media channels. ♥ Artists who are interested in exhibiting something in the Forest Art Walk can simply drop by, choose a suitable spot and rent it. The (very low and extremely fair) rent for such a space is invested in the maintenance and, if necessary, expansion, as well as in regular advertising for the forest.

Currently we are seeking for talented 3D Artists, who want to expose one or two of their works here!

Visitors are of course welcome to leave a small donation and, if they like it, to purchase a work of art. We hope you enjoy exploring the Forest Art Walk and have a great time!

Start your journey here.
